# Bioprocess Market Watch. Every edition and its open data

Bioprocess Market Watch is a monthly report by crida studio built on open data from the EMA, the FDA, ClinicalTrials.gov, Eurostat, ANVISA and the PMDA. It counts medicine approvals, clinical trials with biologics and equipment imports into the EU, and explains what they mean for anyone selling bioprocess equipment or services in Europe. Here are all the editions, newest first, with the data behind each one.

## What the Market Watch is and who it is for

Each edition goes through the official records of the previous month. Which medicines the EMA authorised and which the FDA approved, how many industry trials with biologics started in Europe, the United States, Asia and Latin America, and how EU imports of equipment under heading 8419.89 are moving.

It is written for the people who run marketing or sales at a European supplier of bioprocess equipment or services. These are counts from public sources with the method in plain sight, not a demand forecast.

### How often does Bioprocess Market Watch come out?

Every month. Each edition gathers the public data for the previous month and comes out once the sources have published it.

## All editions

The first in the list is the newest edition. Each one carries the key figure of the month, the charts, the method and the data as CSV and JSON.

## Where the data comes from

Every figure comes from public sources, queried the same way each month. Each edition gives the exact query, the download date and the limits of each source.

- EMA, the table of medicines authorised in the EU
- FDA, CDER novel drug approvals and CBER biologics licence approvals
- FDA, warning letters for good manufacturing practice
- ClinicalTrials.gov, industry trials with biologics
- Eurostat, EU imports under heading 8419.89
- ANVISA and PMDA, registrations in Brazil and Japan

### Are the Market Watch counts demand for bioprocess equipment?

No. They are official records, such as trials that start or medicines that get authorised, and import values from Eurostat. They show where there is activity, but not how much equipment or how many consumables will be bought, or by whom.

## How to use the data

The data and the charts are under a CC BY 4.0 licence. You can use them in presentations, reports or articles if you credit crida studio and link to this page or to the edition they come from.

A new edition comes out every month, once the sources have published the data for the previous month. This address does not change and the list is always up to date.
