The show, according to its website
These achievements belong to Do You Speak Djembe? and Doug Manuel, not to crida studio. The show’s website lists them.
- Oprah chose it to lead her third SuperSoul Sessions.
- TEDx Hollywood and TED Global also chose it, to explore how technology can enhance humanity.
- Before that it had hundreds of hit performances in Paris, tours through Europe and a four-month run at Chicago’s Apollo Theater.
- It is an award-nominated show, and now also an experience for conferences and company teams.
Where it started
Do You Speak Djembe? is a show created by Doug Manuel. The audience learns to play the djembe with the band, to songs they have known all their lives, from Otis Redding to Michael Jackson.
The show wanted to reach US companies as an experience for conferences and teams. It needed an English landing page that explained it quickly and led people to book it.
What we decided
The home page message
The landing page opens with what a team gains, “Unlock Your Team’s Collaborative Potential”, and right below explains what the show is and where it has been. The “Book now” button appears twice.

“Book now” leads to a booking page with Doug Manuel’s contact details and a short form. The company says what it wants, a keynote, a team-building session, information about the show or another enquiry.

How is the landing page built?
The landing page runs on WordPress with Salient and WPBakery, a theme and a visual page builder. With the builder, text, photos and blocks can be changed without touching code. That way the landing page can be adjusted when the show changes its audience or its message.
- WordPressThe base of the landing page, where the content is edited.
- Salient and WPBakeryThe theme and the visual builder, to change copy and sections without code.
- Contact Form 7The booking and contact form.
- WordfenceWebsite security.
What else did we do besides the landing page?
With the digital strategy we chose who the show was for in the US and what message to use. The audience is companies looking for an activity for conferences and teams.
crida studio has also handled the SEO, the Google Ads campaigns and the newsletter. The ads bring visits to the landing page from day one. SEO takes months, but there is no charge per click. The newsletter keeps in touch with people who already know the show.
- StrategyWho the show was for and with what message.
- SEOSo the landing page shows up on Google when people search.
- Google AdsGoogle ads for the searches that matter.
- NewsletterEmails for the people who signed up.
