Start with a specific situation

A website that does not explain the service, campaigns without a suitable destination and a brand with inconsistent messages may look like separate problems. First, it helps to understand how they relate and what is preventing progress.

Consultancy can start with an established business or an offer that has yet to be presented. The first task is to organise what is known, what information is missing and which decisions are needed before producing more material.

Do I need to know which service to commission?

You do not need to arrive with a solution already chosen. Explain the problem, what has been tried and what needs to change. The scope can then be defined around those needs.

What the work can include

The scope depends on the starting point. It can include reviewing the offer, audiences, messages, contact journey and role of each channel. Recommendations need to lead to actions that someone can take responsibility for.

According to Idescat, in the first quarter of 2025, 88.9% of Catalan companies with 10 or more employees and internet access had a website and 75.2% used some form of social media.

  • The objective and how it will be reviewed.
  • The people being addressed and what they need to understand.
  • Existing content and channels and the role of each.
  • Priorities, responsibilities and dependencies.

From diagnosis to a workable plan

A long list of ideas is not a work plan. Distinguish what can start now, what needs material or approval and what should wait. The time available within the team is part of that decision.

The proposal should define the deliverables, decision makers and whether later brand, web or campaign production is included. This makes it possible to compare the scope with the actual business needs.

Does the plan include building the website or running campaigns?

Consultancy and production are different parts of the work. The proposal needs to identify which stages, materials and responsibilities are included.

Prepare for the first conversation

It helps to bring an explanation of the offer, the current website and channels, examples of incoming enquiries and the objectives that matter now. Campaign or visitor data needs to be interpreted in context.

This starting point helps establish whether a focused intervention or a project connecting several areas is appropriate. Follow-up is used to review decisions against evidence, rather than treating the first hypothesis as settled.

Before comparing visits, check how they were measured, because the cookie guide from Spain’s data protection authority (AEPD), updated in May 2024, notes that analytics cookies need informed consent.

Work you can review

For Breath Coaching, My Happy Retreats and Do You Speak Djembe?, the work started with strategy. First we decided who we are talking to, what they need to understand and how they get in touch. Two are Swiss brands and the third wanted to enter the US market.

Working with businesses throughout Spain

We work from Girona and coordinate projects with businesses throughout Spain. We agree the starting point, materials and approvers for each phase so the work follows a shared direction.

An integrated studio connecting the decisions

Brand, website and acquisition need a common direction. At crida studio we can coordinate strategy, identity, content, development, SEO, paid search, 3D and applied AI according to business needs. The proposal defines which areas participate and who owns each delivery.
