When can video or animation help?
It may help when a product needs to show how it works, an offer involves several ideas or a campaign needs a recognisable sequence. A B2B company, an accommodation business and a public organisation have different audiences and viewing contexts. The same technique cannot resolve all those needs by itself.
Before production, agree what the viewer should understand and which information comes next. A piece may open a conversation or support a sales explanation. That purpose belongs in the brief, without promising sales simply because a message is animated.
Can you use our existing visual identity?
Yes. A project can start from an existing brand. Materials, applications and usage criteria are reviewed first.
What can the brief include?
A proposal may include scripting, visual direction, storyboards, asset design and animation. It can also combine footage or 3D according to what needs to be shown and the material available. Narration, text, captions, languages and versions are defined for their intended destinations.
The scope should distinguish new production from adapting existing assets. Usage permissions and technical approval need reviewing. Reference images should not be presented as studio projects, and representations should not be presented as proof of a finished product.
- Product or service explainer videos.
- Motion graphics and brand pieces.
- Agreed versions for websites, presentations, exhibitions and social channels.
- A language plan for text, narration, captions and approval.
Does every project need filming?
No. Some explanations can use design, motion graphics or 3D. The technique follows the objective and available information.
How is the piece reviewed during production?
Start with the purpose and audience. Review the script, scenes and visual direction before producing the complete piece. An initial development can test pace and readability. Technical and brand reviews need named owners and an agreed order for resolving comments.
Handover is defined by the formats, versions and materials agreed in the proposal. If the product changes often, identify which parts should be updateable without remaking everything. The brief should explain which files are delivered and which future work is outside the scope.
Can you plan several languages?
Catalan, Spanish and English can be included. Text, narration, captions and technical review should be agreed for each version.
Can filmed material be combined with 3D?
It may help to establish a real product before representing an internal part that cannot be seen from outside. This is an illustrative approach, not a claimed studio success story. The combination needs continuity of scale and visual language, alongside technical approval of the information it explains.
If a final sample does not yet exist, distinguish the proposed design from a verified situation. The purpose is to make a function understandable with the degree of accuracy the project can support.
What affects the production budget?
The estimate depends on scripting, scenes, new assets, modelling or filming, languages and adaptations. A short piece can require more production than a longer one if it needs new materials or a detailed technical representation.
When comparing proposals, review the formats, versions, revision rounds and usage rights included. Voiceover, music and other licences should be listed separately when they form part of the brief.
What do we need to prepare a proposal?
A description of the audience, the question the piece should answer, its destinations and existing material are useful. Include brand assets, visual references and the people who will approve content and technical details.
With that context, we can assess technique, versions and review stages. A proposal should separate new production from adaptation and identify decisions that need resolving before work starts.
Can the same piece work on every channel?
Framing, duration, reading conditions and sound should be reviewed for each destination. Useful adaptations are defined before the brief is finalised.
